Family run accomodation

At Rødkærgård you’ll find three generations represented. Everybody participates and contributes in one way or the other to the daily operation of the farm.

Pia and Peder – and Co.

You’ll meet us, Pia and Peder, and our three sons, Jens, Magnus and Anders. We live in the farmhouse. And you’ll meet Bertha and Niels, Pia’s parents, who first transformed Rødkærgård into a B&B and then ran it from 1993 to 2014. They still give us a hand from time to time, when needed.

Pia is usually occupied in the office, in the garden, in the kitchen and where else needed. Peder takes good care of our animals and makes sure that all the garden plants and the lawn are kept and he is also a real handyman who can fix almost anything that needs a little fixing.

We wanted to take over Rødkærgård because we think it is a wonderful little gem. To Pia, it is full of memories, and it is a place where we all feel at home.

We are happy to share the peace, quite and beautiful atmosphere of the place with our guests. The shift from one generation to the next is something we have thought and talked about for many years. And here we are – enjoying the many encounters, talks and reunions that we have with our guests.

Our vision

Our vision is that our guests leave enriched with a good experience, regardless of whether they stop by just for the night or whether they wish to combine the need for a place to sleep with staying in a picturesque and authentic countryside farm environment. We strive to provide a relaxed atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.

Furthermore, we hope that our guests think pleasantly back at Kerteminde, its surroundings and Funen as places where they gained a little more than expected.
